Sustainable Design

Since 1997, WCGS Architects has passionately promoted sustainable design, incorporating green features into every design undertaken by the firm.  In our leadership position in this field, the firm designed the first LEED Certified Building in New York State in 2001 - the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Headquarters.

The firm is intimately familiar with NYSERDA's incentive programs and is routinely recognized by NYSERDA for exceptional energy efficient designs.  In 2006, NYSERDA honored in the Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library with the first High Performance Building Award in New York State.
